ADHD in Children
Sunday, October 11, 2009
As a mother, I do my best for my children. I want them to grow healthy and bright. I also want to do everything I can so that I can buy them want they need and want.
And as alarming as it seems, ADHD in children is now becoming widespread. ADHD is an acronym of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Most children found with ADHD are reported not paying attention in classes, having trouble completing assignments from school, has careless mistakes in her homework, forget what was assigned but seems to be active during times that should be quite like dinnertime or bedtime. They are also having difficulty in waiting for their turn in games and often interrupt when in conversation or games.
What is more alarming is that I am seeing these symptoms in my children and I don’t know what to do. I have read several sites and most recommends taking medicines. Is there an alternative to medicines, therapy perhaps or even counseling? I am so worried about this.
