My Earning Journey

Friday, July 24, 2009

I remembered about nine years ago, I worked as a cashier at a department store. It was actually my first real job. It lasted just about 3 months because I was still an undergraduate student.

Anyway, I was really happy with my job. Though it was really tiring, I was very enthusiastic every time payday comes. I get to earn an income from a decent job. It was also the first time for me to learn using a cash register, barcode scanner and even process credit cards using POS terminals or by manually calling companies.

After my contract ended, I went back to school. Then after I graduated, I applied as a sales lady at another department store that was newly opened in town. When I was about to be promoted into a regular employee, I got pregnant with my second child. So the company did not approve my regularization. Then 11 months later, after giving birth, I was gainfully employed by a direct selling company wherein I was promoted three times with my three years stay with them.

Eventually, I resigned and became a stay-at-home mommy. Though I am at home, I am still earning a meager amount online. Not that big but enough to make ends meet.

That is my journey…how about you?

Short Updates

Wednesday, July 22, 2009

Finally, I have made a rough draft of my list of paid to clicks program to be included in my sidebar for recommendations. But as of now, I am not yet going to publish it since I am still finalizing which will be included and which is not that worth it. Aside from that, I am preparing the referral links. *wink*

Anyway, I have also been busy with our room hunting. I have been planning to move-out from our current apartment and rent out a small room for me and my children. Though I have found a place to rent and even start a small business, I have a big problem with our pet dog. She has no place to stay there. Even if I bring some pet beds, the landlady wouldn’t allow her to stay. So now, I am looking for somebody to adopt her. I know my son will be sad when he finds out that his dog will not be coming with us. I hate to break my son’s heart. :(

Public Speaking

Saturday, July 11, 2009

When I was in elementary and high school, my public speaking fear was intense. Every time our teachers assigned as an oral presentation or an oral quiz, I was always hesitant to speak out. But when college came, I became bolder when it comes to public speaking. I considered it to be necessary to fight the fear I have in me because my grades and my future depended on it.

So, as years passed, I still have several goose bumps when I try to speak publicly but it diminishes as I continue speaking. Anyway, because of the decision to fight the fear, I was successful in my last job which always involves public speaking. Why do I consider it to be successful? Well, I was promoted twice in the same company over three years being with them.

Oh well, now that I am a blogger, I still need to speak publicly because I am now active in a community of bloggers here at our place. Most of the time, it requires us to speak and share our online money making endeavors. So talking goes on!

Insurance Selling

Thursday, July 9, 2009

Have you tried selling insurances? Well, I did try to sell insurances before. I tried selling educational, life, auto, disability, accident insurances and more. As per experienced, the easiest to sell among them all is auto or car and disability insurances.

Auto or car insurance is always a hit every year when transport owners renew their car papers while disability insurance is always bought by company owners to insure their employees while working. But though they sell like pancakes, they are the ones that pay low. So, if you want to earn more, you need to sell more which I can’t because I have limited time. I have a baby back then, so I only sell if I will be given the time to do so.

As of now, I don’t have the time to start selling again. I prefer doing work at home jobs than going out and throw in a sales pitch especially now that I am pregnant.

Clicking PTCs Again!

Sunday, July 5, 2009

Aside from doing paid blogging full time at home, I am very much active “again” in paid to click companies. It’s been awhile since I have clicked but decided to get back into it again. I know it only earn cents but it seems it’s a good way to check out new money making opportunities. At least I get paid to view advertisements than be annoyed with pop-up ads that don’t pay me!

Anyway, I will be listing my best paid to click sites in the next few days. I need to finalize which PTC site that I will endorse because it’s really hard to recommend and they end-up being a scam. But I will be listing new ones too, those that I think has a future. So stay tuned!
