Thinking of an Online Shop

Monday, September 21, 2009

Since my family is getting bigger with our third child coming this month, I have been thinking of opening an online shop. I am not sure what to sell but I am thinking of having a niche based products. As for what product, I am still thinking what kind it would be.

Well, I am sure though I am not selling Mopar parts because I dread having inventory at hand but probably I will be selling digital products such as e-books, e-load and maybe some of my services like blog hosting, wp installation and more. I already have installed a shopping cart script at a sub-domain in my main blog but I haven’t started using or even personalizing it.

Anyway, I wish to start soon but as of now, I think I should continue to pursue my current income generating online job. I think expansion can wait until my third baby is out in the open!

Started My E-Load Business

Sunday, September 20, 2009

I think it was a few months ago when I blogged about starting an electronic load business and finally, I was able to launch it last month. I don’t have any signage but I made my own cardboard displays just to let people know that I have electronic loads for sale.

Anyway, I am not selling much yet but at least I can sell 500 pesos a week. It means I get to have my own load expenses and as of my husband for free! Our sales are enough to save on our load expenses and even drive people to buy at my mom’s sari-sari store. ^_^

My PC Got Infected!

Thursday, September 17, 2009

Last Wednesday, my husband installed a new PC game in my computer. After installing and running the game for awhile, my PC collapsed. When I tried to turn it on, it wouldn’t allow me to access it even the safe mode of my operating system. It means, I have no way of fixing what caused the problem. With that in mind, I got so worried since I haven’t bought any external hard drive or online backup account to store my data. I was afraid I might lose everything!

Anyway, since my husband was the one who got my PC infected, he volunteered to fix it. So, I gave it to him. Luckily, he was able to clean all the viruses that infected my disk drive and was able to restore everything. Now, I feel OK but still, I am badly considering to have an external disk drive or an online backup account in case something worse will happen to my PC! I can't let that happen since I am earning online and I need a PC to access the internet.

Reached $100 with Google Adsense

Saturday, September 12, 2009

I am not an expert of SEO (search engine optimization) but I am glad that I was able to reach my first $100 just last week with Google Adsense. I joined them last November 26, 2008 and it literally took me 10 months before reaching their payout threshold!

Anyway, I am just happy about this. I haven’t received it in cold cash yet but hopefully by November 2009 (exactly one year of being with them); I will have it via Western Union!

I hope this is the beginning of a more fruitful relationship with them. ^_^

Update: I received my Adsense payment last October 31, 2009.

Family Vacations

Sunday, September 6, 2009

Have you ever dream of spending a whole week with your family on a wondrous vacation? Well, I do! All the time!

Our first experience to have a family vacation was an overnight stay at Mambukal Mountain Resort at Maao, Negros Occidental. It was only short lived because our budget at that time was scarce and it was only to make our daughter happy on her 8th birthday. The place was really great as it was close to nature. We enjoyed the hot springs and even the food. It was not like Myrtle beach vacation rentals but the place we rented for the night was very much OK and the air conditioning unit was functioning really fine!

Actually, that was our last too. That is why we are planning to have one soon but not this year or the next year. I think we need to save up for it because we will be bringing three kids when I give birth this month! So, saving is the solution for this because it is a long term dream! ^_^

Broken Tiles

Saturday, September 5, 2009

In my previous post, I have blogged about wanting a digital camera as an additional asset for my online career. Guess what?! After I saw that our rented house has too many broken tiles, I can’t help but dream of buying them some replacements. They looked not so presentable and badly needs some major repair (or “replacements” is the right word).

Anyway, since this is not my home, I guess it would be so generous of me if I buy a porcelain tile for replacements. I guess ordinary ones will do. Besides, I will not be staying here for long. My husband and I have a dream of buying our very own house someday!

Wanting a Digital Camera

Thursday, September 3, 2009

To be honest, my online income is enough only to supplement our daily needs. I just wished that someday I could save up something to buy for my wants.

Well, I am not that materialistic but I wanted to buy something that will help me earn money online. What I am trying to say is that I wanted to buy an asset that will help me generate more money for the family. One example of that is to buy a new digital camera!

Since mine got broken a few months back, I always check out the digital cameras being displayed at the mall. I always check out their prizes and compare them. I am not looking of a premium digital camera but a small point and shot gadget that can help me create quality photos for my blog posts.

Anyway, a couple of days back, I saw an eight megapixel digital camera and it only cost Php 5,000.00. I don’t know how good the quality is but it seems that I am now hopeful that someday I could save up to buy a digital camera with that kind of price. So wish me luck on saving!
