Not all cd duplication is meant to for stealing (like duplicating songs that are meant to be sold). While many are doing it for that purpose, the good thing about it is you can use the technology for your personal purposes. Like, for example, you need copies of certain data from your computer that you cannot take chances of it getting lost. You make copies online but since they are not 100% reliable you have to make your own separate copy as well so use the CD technology and make two extra copies of that CD just to make sure since CDs are also subject to wear and tear.
